Foundational work

Here is a showcase of some of the work I have completed as I moved through ELDT 6100: Foundations of Learning, Design and Technology. I worked hard at showcasing the understanding of the foundational theories of Instructional Design and its application in numerous different projects.

  • Defining what instructional design means to me: Definitions paper
    • In this assignment I worked to come up with my own definition of Instructional Design in an effort to guide my path forward as I worked to learn and grow more.
  • A comparison of major learning theories: Diagram
    • Here I compared and contrasted Behaviorism, Cognitivism, and Constructivism. It helped me understand the major different theories and the kinds of education they can most readily apply to, helping to make my work designing future projects more tailored to their proper application.
  • A timeline of Learning, Technology and Design: timeline
    • As a student of history I felt that being asked to diagram the most essential points in the history of the field proved a valuable exercise in understanding where it came from. With this in mind it is typically much easier to contextualize the present, and find a road map to the future.
